People are becoming more aware of our precious environment and are making choices to use products that are earth friendly. Companies are manufacturing products using recycled materials.
I came across the Vetrazzo recycled countertops which won the first annual Green Log Home & Lifestyle Awards in the countertop division. It was judged the most eco-friendly of other surface options. Vetrazzo countertops consists of 85% recycled glass.
It was interesting to read on their website how each countertop has a story. Take for instance the "Bistro Green" countertop. Read the excerpt from an article on their website:
When you take the extra step of putting your glass waste into the recycling bin, you’re doing something good. Those bottles and jars that held all your culinary necessities are sent to be processed and put back into use. The glass in this mix is from your kitchen... your soda bottles, olive oil containers, pickle jars, wine and water bottles could have been waste. Instead here they are, made into something beautiful: Bistro Green.
I felt a nice selection of a good "Green" countertops would be beneficial to you. I took the color selections from the Vetrazzo website and made the countertop surface as seamless as possible. I think you will enjoy them all.
You can find Bistro Green among the Vetrazzo texture selections.
